Outreach

Your extra dose of dance!

For the next edition, we again invite all festival visitors to our free and practical offers accompanying the performance programme.

Since "Physical Introduction" and "Physical Traces" have been an integral part of the programme since 2019, we are also pleased to offer encounter and movement formats for the 2023 festival edition under the title "tanz.match", which have been developed by artists and educators specifically for certain productions.

Physical Introduction

invites the audience to get active one hour before the performance. A dance facilitator leads simple movements for about 45 minutes, loosening the joints and stimulating sensory perception for the dance piece that follows. No previous experience is necessary - just join in!

The outreach format Physical Introduction was developed as part of the MA CoDE programme at the University of Music and Performing Arts Frankfurt/Main.

Physical Traces

offers visitors the opportunity to get their own bodies moving again directly after the performance. Through verbally guided perception and movement exercises, images and memory traces of the choreography just seen are activated once again. "Physical Traces" lasts about 30 minutes and is easily accessible to anyone interested, even without prior knowledge.

tanz.match

invites the audience to engage with an artistic production from a different perspective. In the run-up to the festival and during rehearsals for the current pieces by Cie Chara and SPECIES / Carla Jordão, choreographers, dramaturges and mediators jointly develop formats to convey artistic ideas to the spectators through physical experience.
