CHOREIA – ein PolyBallett
How can we regain the lost space of community? A uniting experience of aesthetics that emphasises diversity? How can the separation between stage and audience space be dissolved? In a collaborative process, the performers of the CocoonDance Company bridge this gap through choral forms of body, space and sound, centred on the power of the voice which, disembodied, has the power to touch across great distances. It helps to imagine other, new embodiments and create new relationships between bodies. The dancers work together with a local choir for the CHOREIA premiere, and voice coach Karine Barman devises a musical sequence that flows into the performance.
