Lovedance
Lovedance creates the danced counterpart to a lovesong: everything revolves around the theme of love from a queer perspective. In a duet, the performers dance their way to cloud nine in a gentle and spectacular way, exploring the possibilities of being together – between dependence and trust, leading and following, resistance and devotion – and drawing on a collective archive of affective dance forms and romantic gestures such as the Viennese waltz and the pas de deux. Unafraid of overlapping expressive kitsch, confrontation, lightness, drama, roughness, care and maximal sincerity, passionate togetherness unfolds as a subtle intermediate state.
