EVER|RÊVE
What certainties do we need to part with in order to dream versions of a new future? Can the jointly experienced state of suspension of an altered sensory perception generate a new consciousness that enables a different form of encounter and community? These questions are at the centre of choreographer Ben J. Riepe’s new production “EVER|RÊVE”. Together with the Icelandic composer Bára Gísladóttir he creates an uncertain but promising terrain between daydream and nightmare, creation myths and primal fears. Fog and light, atmospheres of sound and song, movement, words and text fragments interweave with real, digital and surreal moments to create a dreamy foreboding of a new world.
