ESTHER
How did we become the adults we are today? What shaped our upbringing? Five adult performers look back on their youth and connect it with the young generation of today. On stage, they share memories of their youth and reflect on elements that have shaped them: How do uniforms, symbols, behaviours, rituals and their social class contribute to self-discovery? In ESTHER, the performers illuminate the nuanced relationship between these external and familial influences and explore the delicate balance between conformity and individuality.
