Jungmann&Riebesam
JUNGMANN/JUNGKLAUS

This unusual pas de deux is an encounter of two bodies: JUNGMANN's body with 1800 mm, 75 kg of flesh, top speed of 20 km/h, two legs, two untrained arms, flexibility and elasticity; and JUNGKLAUS' body with 2500 mm, 3000 kg of steel, top speed of 17 km/h, four wheels, powerful lifting hydraulics, stability and manoeuvrability. With subtle humour and tender provocation, performer Thaddäus Maria Jungmann examines discriminatory work experiences he underwent as a queer person in a logistics centre. The focus is on the connection between humans and machines and the question of how we can demasculinise technical objects in order to “queer” (capitalist and patriarchal) systems.
