YOU CLAP FOR ME NOW
What do we applaud for? What would we like to be applauded for? The performers keep asking the audience: YOU CLAP FOR ME NOW. Taking great pleasure in experimenting, showing a lot of humour and intense physicality, the performers from three generations explore the pressure of expectation, the battle for acknowledgement and appreciation, the constant judgement from outside – and the fear of not being good enough. They draw the audience into a vortex of exhaustion, reeling and sometimes even failure. Together they are looking for honest answers to the question: “What am I willing to do for this?” Meanwhile, they are struggling with the obstacles and pitfalls between the poles of power and powerlessness.
